End of the World Club I am not sure if the world will end on Dec 21, 2012, or if that end will be related to the Mayan Calendar. I do believe a couple things though. The ancients were far more intelligent than we give them credit for, and their ability to predict events has born itself out many times. While I hope that all the problems of the world can be fixed by those that believe in hope and change, the pragmatic part of me believes we could be headed for a fall of epic scale. I prepare myself, my family, and friends for that possibility at every turn. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. In terms of preparedness, I teach defense techniques, firearm defense, and condition yellow. I know how to purify food and water, clean and butcher animals, grow crops, build defensive structures, engineer and build machinery used up to the 20th century, and survive in the wilderness. The others in my group can make medecines, perform basic surgery, make maps, navigate terrain, sail and navigate open water, fly basic prop planes, build and utilize explosives, fix electronics, use communication systems, and repair and augment automobiles. I am interested in what others think about 3C (Cataclysmic Collapse of Civilization) events, how they are prepared, and what their plans are if things go south.
